What is work

Been a long long time since i've last written a post here, partly due to the fact that i am incredibly tired from internship and just wanna make full use of my weekends to hang out with friends, family and just destress. My internship has been fine so far, with not much to do, but now i've had to rush out a proposal with my project mate for the company supervisor. I just felt that the company should've done all the project sorting stuff before they accepted so many interns. But overall it was a good 6 weeks.

I had to miss work this week because of a seminar event that my course manager nominated me for. I had no one that i really knew at the start but the last four days that i spend with my team really made the whole thing worthwhile. At first, i thought to myself that it was gonna be a torturous week since i had no one that i was really close with, but as i got to know my team better, i found that most of them were quite easy going. I really had fun and hopefully i'll be able to see them again soon.

Group photo with my team mates!!
My SLOs were also very very patient with us. They were one of the best people i've met. During this short period of time i also got to know two schoolmates from my school and it was a very good experience that i'll never forget.
Don't exactly know all of them, but they are from my school. HAHA.
Actually, before the seminar i helped out at the Farmer's Market at Kranji Farm Resort last weekend and it was a very great experience as well. It's my 3rd time helping my friend out and the event was fun because my friends were there. It's about the people that makes the event more meaningful. I also found this restaurant there and it was one of the best. The prices i think are quite reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food, we had a few pastas and the Rosemary Chicken~~ The chicken was only 15SGD and it was so tender, the meat was juicy and huge and mash potato to go with the chicken!! If only it wasn't that far from my house, i would go there during weekends more often!!

This was lunch. HAHAH. IT'S DAMN GOOD LOR
It has been a memorable two months, met new people, formed new bonds and i just hope that my next two months would be this eventful and memorable.

April~

APRIL IS HERE AGAIN!! And it means school is gonna start again. I hate dealing with school work and this time round i'm gonna start my internship once school starts. Gonna be damn hectic once school starts with the internship and project. DAMN PROJECT. Argh, hope this sem pass soon. After that it would be a bit more relaxed since i've already completed most of my diploma studies. Poly life is coming to an end soon. HAHA.

Hehe, finally went for my runs.
Well, with that, it also means that NAPFA and NS is coming. And to prepare for that, i got on my lazy ass and went for morning jogs since yesterday. Since NAPFA is in October/November i think i should be alright, if i continue jogging every week. HAHA. I shall try my best. LOL. Been 2 years since i really did any serious exercise.

TWELVE CUPCAKES!
Talking about exercise, i tried to fulfill my craving for sweet tooth before i started running, so that i can control my diet. AND these cupcakes were amazing! Been a while since i've bought them and it was on discount that day!! So i bought 6. HAHA. Normally it would be expensive as hell, but heck, IT WAS ON DISCOUNT>>>> HAHA.

Gonna be avoiding cupcakes for a few months. :( Well, at least i've got the picture to look at. HAHA.

Johor Trip!!

Been a while since i've posted! Took a while away from posting because i felt lazy. Well, during the first weekend of March, i went for a two-day one-night trip in Johor with my family! And cousins, and aunts and my maternal grandparents. HAHA. It was fun!! But too short to do everything. Hopefully we can go again soon!! HAHA.

Penang Laksa!!

The first stop was KSL City Mall, i think. And we had Penang Laksa for lunch after a long trip crossing the causeway. It was packed! HAHAH. The laksa was totally different from those we have in Singapore and it was good! Kinda like tom-yum soup, the soup base has a sour and kinda spicy taste. Although i'm not sure whether if it's authentic, since i've never went to Penang. HAHA.

Taiwanese fried squid!!

We had these fried squid to go with the laksa, the stalls where just located next to each other which was quite convenient. After that we went for a walk around the mall, although there's nothing much there except for mostly restaurants and saloons.

Guo Tie!! Or fried dumplings

For dinner, we had it at a food court near my cousin's house and ordered a bunch of stuff, most of it was good, but the Bak Kut Teh i had wasn't that good. Guess there's bad food in Malaysia as well. HAHAH. The char kuey teow was good though. And although it was at a food court, its damn expensive! Around 400 to 500RM. And some of it's portions are really small as well.

Char Kway Teow!
The next morning, we had Dim Sum for breakfast! It was good, but some were not that good and again, the portions were small. But was worth it since we ordered a lot.

Bonus, we had Starbucks at Aeon Tebrau Shopping Center! While taking a break from window shopping. The retail prices in Malaysia is similar to those in SG, but it's a few dollars cheaper. BUT for brands like Converse and Everlast, it's a about 10 to 20 dollars cheaper than SG!! Too bad i didn't bring enough cash. Will certainly shop there for clothes when i have the money!!

Bak Kut Teh!

BAK KUT TEH!!! Haven't had it in a long time and last Sunday, my father decided to take my whole family to try out the new Bak Kut Teh restaurant which opened not long ago at Seletar Mall.

The new restaurant which is part of a chain BKT restaurants around Singapore known as Song Fa Bak Kut Teh is apparently a brand that is almost as old as Singapore is, as a republic. The restaurant has quite a few other types of soups in their menu, but what we went there for was for the BKT so i didn't pay much attention to the other dishes. And there were noodles too! Shall try that the next time we go there.

There's the pork loin BKT and the pork ribs BKT, we ordered the pork ribs BKT since it's the normal BKT that we are used to. We ordered some sides as well to go with the soup!

Additional side to go with the BKT!! You Tiao

Before the BKT came after we ordered, the You Tiao came first and it tasted like any normal you tiao, but it would be nicer if it was heated a bit before being served, but since we're gonna dip it in BKT soup, i didn't complain that much. HAHAH.

Here's the main star!!

My first impression was, "What a small bowl of BKT for $7!" BUT we realised that there's refills, HAHA. Since there were four of us, four bowls of BKT soups in small bowls were served. And each had 3 pieces of pork ribs with soup. It would be great if they served it in a huge bowl, since it's for 4 people. And we wouldn't need to refill our soup bowls so many times. The overall taste wasn't that bad, but it wasn't spicy enough. Although it wasn't that spicy, the taste of herbs were very nice with the soup! For those who doesn't like the taste of strong herbs, it wasn't really that strong but was enough to taste it and make the soup nicer.

Pork Trotters!

One of the sides we ordered were a plate of Pork Trotters!! It was deboned, which was good since it would be troublesome to eat with the bones. HAHAH. The trotters wasn't bad as well, the meat was tender and easy to chew and the sauce was great! With the rice. HAHAH.

Here's the bowl of rice.
Since we get refills for the soup, one bowl of rice was enough to make us feel bloated. Really worth the money, it was less than 50 bucks, around 40+? And we would go there again, if it wasn't crowded all the time. HAHAH.

E-learning week!! (OCL)

So i've been staying at home for the past days because of OCL (off campus learning) week, which is good because everyday taking the bus to school is tiring. HAHA. I rather stay at home to study at my flexible timing and freedom. I've almost completed all but left with the annoying CDS project and some other small stuff -.- HAHAH. SO MUCH TO DO. It'll get worse when school starts again week.

But, i have SNSD with me to go through this tough period of time. Hehe. Talking about SNSD, i've recently found this ballad version of their debut song when they were performing in Japan without Jessica. IT'S JUST SO SAD. I hope they'll continue for as long as they can!! One of my most favourite KPOP group. Hope to go their concert one day. :DD

Starbucks~

Been such as long time since i've had Starbucks!! Hehe, though it was a while ago around my birthday. And the best thing was it was free! Payed no more than 30 bucks for 5 venti drinks and one cake!!

Though it isn't always that cheap, but it was Christmas and there was this free drink promotion when you buy 3 and pay for the price of 2, i also used the buy one get one free reward!! As well as, a complimentary cake during my birthday month. It's really shiok to buy so much!! HAHA. Although almost half was free XD

But this time round i don't have a picture to show :( HAHAH. Would be one less memory on my blog. It's fine, i can always post another one the next time. HAHA. Self-consoling myself. Lol. I was just feeling so bored, so i decided to post something just to add more posts to January of 2015. Although it's only the start of the year, not much is going on in my life yet. Maybe i should've sign up for some camps or something. Well, i can't complain now can i? HAHA. It's my own fault, but i hope my life would be more exciting in 2015. :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! It's 2015! Been such a long and tiring year but also one of the best i've ever had! I got to travel, tried new stuff, got gifts and also a birthday celebration (haven't got one in years)!! It's been a fruitful year and hopefully this year everything will sail smoothly~ This will be the second last year of my life in Poly and i didn't do much, didn't join CCAs, didn't go camps nor overseas trips organised by the school. Hopefully,  this year or the next, i will be able to join some overseas trips to create more memories of poly life! I don't wanna to remember this period as being boring and just about studying, you're supposed to have fun!! HAHA. Or at least that's what i've heard before i entered poly. XD

Things are gonna get harder, schedules more tight and more stress during the second half of the year when i start my first year as a Year 3 poly student with my MP/SIP. I really hope to get a overseas experience for my SIP XD I really want to!! I'll try to work hard. HAHAH. It feels so exciting, if you're chosen for overseas SIP. Wanna experience that as well, but that depends on my luck. HAHAH. Well, tomorrow's the first day of school in 2015 and i have to sleep. Long day ahead for me. HAHAH. Happy 2015!! :D
